Whether you are a full time photographer or casual hobbyist, cameras have become an ever-present accessory to our daily lives; from the one in your smartphone to the one around your neck. As a result we are awash in digital photographs! In this class Rob will get you up to speed on one of the most powerful and commonly used photo management and photo editing tools available today. Lightroom is designed specifically for helping you manage, organize, access, process, and output your photos whether they come from a DSLR or your phone!

This four-week class is designed to give you a solid foundation for developing a Lightroom workflow that fits your specific photography needs. Each week's materials—a combination of written and video tutorials—are designed to help you move forward with confidence, and there's lot's of room for questions along the way. Those who are newest to Lightroom will gain the most from this class, but anyone struggling to master Lightroom will benefit from the structure and support provided. By the end of the four weeks you'll learn:

  • The relationship between Lightroom and your photos
  • How to perform common photo management tasks such as applying metadata, moving, renaming, and deleting
  • Different ways to process your photos using Lightroom’s powerful editing tools

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 (earlier versions of Lightroom can be used, but some features are not available)

Rob SylvanRob Sylvan is a photographer, trainer, and author. Aside from also being a NAPP and Kelby Training Help Desk Specialist, and instructor for the Perfect Picture School of Photography and the host of Peachpit’s Lightroom Resource Center. He is a founding member of Stocksy United (a stock photography co-op).
